We assist owner-occupied households to eliminate health and safety hazards and to conserve energy in their homes. Examples of our services at Southwest Iowa Housing Trust Fund, Inc. include electrical, heating, plumbing, roof, windows, etc. We maintain a waiting list and process applications on a first applied, first-served basis. We can give priority to emergency repair needs. Applicant must be owner of record, reside in the home, and meet income guidelines. Home must be located in Cass, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie (excluding City of Council Bluffs) or Shelby Counties. Condition of home must be suitable for repair.
