About the Speaker:

Jessica has been the Account Executive at Angels Care Home Health in Council Bluffs since May 2019.  She travels around Cass, Harrison, Mills, and Pottawatomie counties talking to and educating others about resources in their area including Medicare coverage. She has had the opportunity to be a community educator on preventive health, and to be a social butterfly in the community to tell people about  homebound home health options, and also to be a resource in the community on Angels services.   Angels services include many skilled nursing cares as well as education on many physical and mental disease processes like our Behavioral Health program, Anxiety/Depression program (including PTSD), and Alzheimer's/Dementia caregiver support programs.

Jessica has worked in many different environments in Council Bluffs including customer service, assisted living (direct care as a CNA), independent living, hospital, non- profit, memory care and now home health. She completed a Bachelor's of Science in Health Care Administration and Policy with a minor in Sociology from Creighton University. She also has a Certified Dementia Practitioner certification and is a current Leadership Council Bluffs student through the Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce. Her family is all from Southwest Iowa and they love to go out to the farm or campgrounds with friends and family.  Her husband, Jacob, and boys, Jensen and Julian, keep her very busy and her heart full!  She has family and friends that have experienced depression, dementia, anxiety, postpartum depression and other mental health diagnoses. Her hope is to be an active member of the community and to make an impact personally and professionally in her home town.
