About the Speaker: Taeko Frost, DrPH, MPH is the co-founder and principal of In The Works, a harm reduction capacity building and training consulting group that offers e-learning, live training, and technical assistance to support organizations to implement harm reduction strategies. Prior to her role at In The Works, Dr. Frost worked in reproductive health and primary care, was the Executive Director of a syringe service program in New York City, and led the expansion of harm reduction policy and funding for the west coast and greater Appalachia at National Harm Reduction Coalition. She enjoys supporting upcoming leaders by building organizational development skills and witnessing when harm reduction "clicks" for people, opening up more opportunities for building rapport and connection with people who use drugs.
Sarah Deutsch, MPH, is the co-founder of In The Works and offers technical assistance to organizations specific to data collection, monitoring and evaluation, training systems, and other support for organizations to grow and share the impact of their work. Sarah has worked at several syringe service programs to oversee outreach services, peer programing, and operations on the east and west coasts. Sarah also brings experience working at the Washington State Department of Health overseeing the drug user health portfolio and supporting community groups to launch and maintain harm reduction services. She enjoys offering technical assistance in a way that builds skills for upcoming leaders to thrive in their work over time and supporting strategies that promote healthy team communication and culture.
